Display My Computer icon on desktop like older versions of Microsoft Windows.

Use My Computer to access files on your hard drive.  Also right-click My Computer for more options.

You must be using the XP Start Menu and not the "Classic" Start Menu to do this.

• Click on the Start button.

• Right-click on My Computer.

• Left-click on Show on Desktop.

• There should be a Check in front of Show on Desktop.

• This works for the My Documents & My Network Places icons as well.
